Hi, my name is Austin serve as the Agency Manager for the two offices for Dennis Hurst State Farm. My family own our two agencies and I take so much pride in carrying on the tradition. I help households find the right coverage for their insurance & financial services needs. I focus on Car, Home and Life Insurance, and love doing State to State transfers to welcome new folks to our area, but can help with all other insurance needs! I am light-hearted, funny & big on organization/cleanliness. I live in Suffolk and graduated from Great Bridge High in Chesapeake and Old Dominion University in Norfolk. Outside of work I enjoy trying new restaurants, Jiu Jitsu, & spending time with my wife Lexie, our son Jagger and our pup Skyy.

Hi, I'm Suzanne, the Marketing Director and HR Manager for Dennis Hurst State Farm's two offices. As a proud family-owned business, our agencies reflect the dedication and values we've upheld over the years. My role allows me to be deeply involved in the community, whether through visiting customers or attending local events weekly.

Before joining State Farm, I enjoyed a fulfilling career as a deputy sheriff with the Chesapeake Sheriff’s Office, from which I eventually retired. Now, in my spare time, I cherish moments with our children, our new grandson, and my husband of 35 years. We love traveling and spending time with our Golden Doodles Amber and Churchill. Our family is firmly rooted in Great Bridge, where we continue to create lasting memories together.

One of our greatest accomplishments is proudly running two offices as a completely family-operated business. We believe that the way we treat our customers reflects our values, and we are committed to providing exceptional service that our customers can rely on.

Hi, my name is Misty and I currently manage our second office location in Virginia Beach. I was raised in a small town just south of Pittsburgh, PA where I met a Navy Sailor who brought me to this area in 2001. I’m a graduate of Tidewater Community College with an Associate Degree in Business Administration and a class of 2012 graduate of Old Dominion University with 2 Bachelor's Degrees; Finance and International Business. I spent time studying abroad in China and South Korea and speak both Mandarin Chinese and Spanish a little. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my 2 beautiful children, husband and 2 German Shepard dogs, painting and everything with the arts. I’m a life-long customer of State Farm myself having inherited my first auto policy from my father in 1985. I look forward to assisting you with Auto, Home, Business, Flood, Supplemental Health and Life insurance needs.

Hi, my name is Samantha. I was born and raised in Lumberton, NC. I attended North Carolina A&T State University where I received a bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine. After college, I decided to make a change and purse a career with State Farm. I have recently moved to the Norfolk area due to my boyfriend being stationed here. When I’m not working I spend most of my time with my family. I’m so excited for this new adventure with Dennis Hurst State Farm.

Hello, my name is Steve Weaver and I was raised in a small town in Oklahoma. I moved to Virginia Beach in 2006 and have resided in Chesapeake since 2018. I served as the Operating Partner for Mission BBQ in Chesapeake for over 6 years, where I have been able to support and serve our local heroes. Values I live by are honesty, integrity, and loyalty; and I strive to embody these values daily. I have enjoyed my time in the service industry as I take pride in putting people first and giving back to those I come into contact with. I graduated from Mercer University with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies before moving to Atlanta where I worked in insurance for three years. Hi, my name is Matt. I was born and raised in Somerset, NJ. I attended James Madison University where I earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and a master’s degree in education. My true passion is helping others become the better versions of themselves. After college, I had the pleasure of educating the youth in Alexandria City for three years before beginning my State Farm career. My time in the schools has allowed me to sharpen my educational skills and develop an incredible level of patience. I am excited to bring my teaching experience to your local office and guide you through the various insurance options that State Farm has to offer for you and your family.
